Not to my credit, it has been a year since I last updated Indigo Threads website posts, focusing our Indigo Threads shared photos, information and updates exclusively with Facebook associates. While social media is an excellent tool to sanction Indigo Threads rural Laos’ ‘gift of education’ goals for 1,000’s of young struggling countryside children, I DO understand social media is not for everyone. Time is always of the essence, juggling hands-on field and administrative responsibilities between Laos’ and the US. Let’s try again to keep Indigo Threads website updated.

Based in Pakse, Laos’ since 2004, INDIGO THREADS, Rural Laos’ Education Support and Remote Village Development Non-Profit 501c3 Humanitarian Organization provides personally directed, hands-on daily, weekly and annual Programs for critically impoverished rural children and their struggling families in So. Laos’ rural villages. While education is our primary focus, encompassing poverty issues are additionally addressed, enabling these children to become educated. We give the gift of education; a sustainable everlasting gift, empowering Laos’ next generation to achieve a positive educated healthy future.

Photo: Indigo Threads 2014-2015 nutritious School Lunch Program provided 1,500 (between both semesters) young at risk undernourished hungry students a protein vitamin rich Laos’ soup school lunches at 13 alternating rural schools. Students cannot learn when chronically hungry. Students do not retain information when severely vitamin deficient. Students are physically and mentally disadvantaged due to a lack of basic dietary requirements. Students’ vulnerable immune systems are compromised due to a lack of daily nourishment.
