Indigo Threads Receives 4th Appreciation Award
January 3, 2012
It is always as inspiring as the first time, to receive recognition from the Lao Government for Indigo Threads dedicated mission in support of seriously impoverished rural children’s education in Southern Laos.
During a recent formal ceremony at Namsay Loum Village School, Indigo Threads was honored with a 4th Appreciation Award, received by Mary D. Meyer, President/Executive Project Manager. Numerous teachers and dignitaries were in attendance. Mr. Orahanh, District Education Director presented the award with the Governor and District’s grateful gratitude for Indigo Threads continued commitment to empower young Southern Laotian children lives through education.
Most often these special large events are held outside under festive tents to protect guests from natures elements The colorful rented tents also indicate something special is happening in the area. Obviously not an ideal environment for photos on this overcast day with intermittent showers.
Award is written in Lao language with the exception on Indigo Threads.
