                                   INDIGO THREADS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
                                           PROVIDES 7 NEW 2012 TEACHERS

Since 2005, Indigo Threads has awarded 11 teacher training scholarships to the Pakse Teacher’s Training College.  With a genuine ambition to become a teacher and pass on the gift of education, rural region candidates are selected; a majority from the Pakse Ethnic Boarding High School.  When completing their 2 or 3-year studies, all recipients are required to teach at District assigned rural schools, addressing the critical shortage of rural educated teachers.  An opportunity of a lifetime, their teaching vocation will provide life-long employment.

Seven Indigo Threads PTTC scholarship recipients received their teaching certificates on July 13, 2012 at the school’s yearly formal ceremony.  Each has begun their teaching career at rural primary and secondary schools.
CONGRATULATIONS. “Be the best possible teacher you can be”.

Indigo Threads new Teacher Training Scholarship Program will award 7 scholarships in September 2013 to Salavan Teacher’s Training College, located closer to the rural regions with the greatest shortages.  Laos’ students deserve better.  Be a part of the solution and help us education teachers for remote rural schools.   A $500. per year scholarship, which includes tuition, boarding, books and uniform, changes numerous lives forever.  Make your generous donations to Indigo Threads Pay Pal account on this site www.indigothreads.org

THANKS A MILLION FROM ALL OF US.
